^* Selection of treatment depended on the pattern of recurrence and patient's will. In seven patients who underwent a second surgery, a total of 12 tumors (18 ± 5 mm) resected were HCC of type-1 to -3 (n = 10) or type-early (n = 2). One patient in each group refused treatment.
